Najwa YOUNES

Najwa Younes is an international development and strategic communication specialist focused on the intersection of economic governance, peacebuilding, and digital governance within fragile and post-conflict contexts.

With over five years of multidisciplinary experience, Najwa employs applied qualitative research and strategic communication to translate complex field data into actionable policy and compelling narratives. Her expertise includes a crucial commitment to countering misinformation and disinformation and promoting civic engagement and human rights.

Her career features significant roles with prominent international organizations. As an African Young Women Leaders Fellow supporting the African Union Commission and UNDP Ethiopia, she specialized in strategic communication and partnership development within the Humanitarian-Development-Peace (HDP) Nexus, coordinating high-level donor and diplomatic missions for the Peace Support Facility in northern Ethiopia. At BBC Media Action in Tunisia and Libya, she led media and research projects, deepening her skills in counter-disinformation efforts and youth empowerment. As a consultant, Najwa has provided research services for institutions like the World Bank, USAID/DAI, and Expectation State to produce policy analyses, economic sectors assessments and research on critical topics such as digital rights, migration, and women’s empowerment across the MENA region.

Najwa holds a Master’s degree in English and International Relations from the Higher Institute of Human Sciences at Tunis El Manar.
